The 2027 Not-a-Boring Competition continues the annual challenge of competing to “beat the snail” with your tunnel boring machine. Teams compete on-site over an about 8-day period, having designed, built, and tested their machines over the course of the year. If you would like to join the competition, please read the Abbreviated Rules and Requirements carefully and fill out the application form below. We will also continue to host a mini-competition, open to first-year teams, that will take place during the same week as our full tunneling competition. Details on the Mini-Competition (Digging Project) are also included in the Abbreviated Rules and Requirements.
